Asmatullah, a resident of Miran village in Tehsil Parova, District Dera Ismail Khan, was suffering from allergies for several days but had no access to proper medical facilities in his area. However, his luck turned around when he learned about the medical camp established by Health Education and Development Society (HEADS) and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in his village.
At the medical camp, Asmatullah received a free check-up from a professional doctor deputed by HEADS and IRC and was provided with free medication for his allergies. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Asmatullah shared his experience and said, “I am very satisfied. I came to know about the medical camp established in our village, and I received medicine free of cost. I have been facing an allergy problem for the last couple of days, but today I got an opportunity to consult a professional doctor. There are no proper health facilities in our area, and the main city is far away from our village. I will request HEADS and IRC to establish such medical camps for poor people in the future as well.”
Asmatullah’s views highlight the importance of providing free medical camps in underprivileged areas, where people often struggle to access basic healthcare services. The availability of free medical camps and professional medical care can significantly improve the health and well-being of people living in such areas. Asmatullah’s story is a testament to how free medical camps can provide immediate relief to people suffering from various ailments and improve their quality of life.
The efforts of organizations like HEADS and IRC are commendable, and their contributions to the welfare of underprivileged communities are invaluable. Asmatullah’s success story is a shining example of the positive impact of such initiatives and serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting accessible healthcare for all.
