Sultan’s success story highlights the positive impact of cash grants on vulnerable individuals and communities affected by natural disasters. The devastation caused by the October 2022 floods left many families like Sultan’s struggling to rebuild their lives and homes.
The initiative taken by Health Education and Development Society (HEADS) to provide cash grants to affected families is commendable. The grant provided to Sultan helped him to meet his basic needs and support his family during a difficult time.

I will spend it on myself and my family.”

At the medical camp, Asmatullah received a free check-up from a professional doctor deputed by HEADS and IRC and was provided with free medication for his allergies. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Asmatullah shared his experience and said, “I am very satisfied. I came to know about the medical camp established in our village, and I received medicine free of cost. I was facing an allergy problem for the last couple of days, but today I got an opportunity to consult a professional doctor. There are no proper health facilities in our area, and the main city is far away from our village. I will request HEADS and IRC to establish such medical camps for poor people in the future as well.”

The availability of free medical camps and professional medical care can significantly improve the health and well-being of people living in such areas.
