Muhammad Ramzan belongs to Dahuthar village, District Dera Ismail Khan. The recent flood had a devastating effect on his personal life. He lost his home and became injured during survival efforts during the flood. His left leg was cracked at three points and his left arm was broken. HEADS field team during the assessment approached him and identified him as a potential candidate for cash grant beneficiary. Later on, he received a cash amount of PKR. 25000/- from IRC/HEADS.
Muhammad Ramzan shared his views, “I am very thankful to your team for facilitating me with a cash amount of PKR 25000/-. I received this amount without any problem. During the flood, my house was destroyed during which my leg was cracked at three points and my army was also broken. My medical treatment is in progress but I am still not fully fit. Due to rising inflation in the country; medical treatment for the long term is quite difficult for people like me. I am very thankful to HEADS and IRC organizations for their fair process of selection and facilities being provided at the distribution point. I wish that such type of facilitation should be continued in future as well, so that many people like could be facilitated.
The timely assistance provided by HEADS and IRC in the form of a cash amount of PKR 25000 proved to be a lifeline for Muhammad Jan and his family. The fact that he was able to purchase a battery and medicine for his family with the amount given to him speaks volumes about his resourcefulness and the impact of the aid he received. Muhammad shared his views as “I am grateful to HEADS and IRC for their timely assistance during the floods that affected my village and family. Being a disabled person with four children, including two girls and two boys, the cash amount of PKR 25000 that they provided was invaluable in helping me and my family get through a difficult time. With the money, I was able to purchase a battery worth PKR 16000 and medicine worth PKR 9000, which were essential for our well-being.
The inflation in the country has made it increasingly difficult for people like me to afford necessities, but the aid provided by HEADS and IRC made a significant difference in our lives. I cannot thank them enough for their support, which has helped us overcome some of the challenges we faced during the floods.”
