In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, torrential monsoon rains on August 14, 2025, led to flash floods caused by a cloudburst. This disaster devastated multiple districts, resulting in numerous fatalities, injuries, the loss of livestock, and damage to many homes and schools. In response, the Health Education and Development Society (HEADS) partnered with Penny Appeal to provide emergency relief in the heavily affected district of Buner.
Relief Activities Implemented
HEADS reached 1,350 flood-affected families in District Buner through the distribution of cooked food and clean drinking water. Along with bottled water, four water-tankering operations were also conducted in the following villages:
- Peer Baba
- Batai
- Qadar Nagar
- Deengar
- Gokand (Lower & Upper)
