Project Objectives:
• To improve access to quality education through provision of educational materials and capacity building of TDPs returnees in returned area in Orakzai Agency.
• The project was implemented with close coordination of political administration, security agencies, education cluster, agency education department and other key relevant stakeholders. The project activities have been completed well in time but due to some issues regarding access to the area and harsh whether condition sometimes the planned activities has been affected. However all the activities proposed were achieved and project has been completed successfully.
Key Activities:
• 56 TIJs were formed and briefed them how can they contribute in increasing the enrollment of TDPs children. The TIJs member were mobilized to aware the rest of community members, how can they contribute for the uplifting and development of their community.
• HEADs have arranged the 14 TIJs trainings 05 Teachers Trainings with close coordination with local communities, schools’ teacher and agency education department.
• HEADs team selected the 26 Schools for the establishment of TLCs that were completely damaged. The target has been completed and 26 TLCs installed in the selected schools.
With the efforts of projects team and TIJs members and with the support of schools teachers to mobilize the community and parents to increase enrollment in schools, we have enrolled 4480 children (Boys 2240 and Girls 2240) in the target schools.
• The project team met and discussed a comprehensive plan for the distribution of student stationary kits among the targets schools. The team successfully achieved its targets and distributed 4480 kits among the children (Boys 2240 and Girls 2240) in 56 schools (Boys28 and Girls 28).
• HEADs Distributed 112 recreational kits in 56 Schools (28 Boys and 28 Girls). Two recreational kits have been distributed in each school. All the documentation and acknowledgement of the distribution are properly signed by the concern school Head Teachers and TIJs members.
• HEADs Distributed 56 School in a box kits in 56 Schools (28 Boys and 28 Girls). One school in a box kit has been distributed in each school. All the documentation and acknowledgement of the distribution are properly signed by the concern school Head Teachers and TIJs members.
