Hygiene & Non Food Items (NFI) Support to the refugee families in hosting areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

This project provided hygiene and non-food item (NFI) support to refugee families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, improving living conditions, promoting health, and ensuring dignity. Key activities included needs assessments, procurement and distribution of essential items, and hygiene awareness campaigns to enhance well-being and safe hygiene practices.

Project Objectives:

• To provide hygiene and non-food items support to refugee families in hosting areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to improve their living conditions, promote health and ensure dignity

Key Activities:

• Needs assessment and distribution planning: Conducted comprehensive needs assessments to identify the specific hygiene and non-food item requirements of refugee families in hosting areas. Based on the assessment, developed a distribution plan to ensure equitable access and timely delivery of essential items.
• Procurement and distribution of items: Procured and stocked essential hygiene items such as soap, sanitizers, menstrual hygiene products, and non-food items like blankets, clothing, kitchen utensils. Established distribution points where families received the items in a dignified and organized manner.
• Hygiene promotion and awareness campaigns: Carried out hygiene promotion and awareness campaigns targeting refugee families, emphasizing the importance of proper hygiene practices for health an

d well-being. Conducted training sessions and workshops to educate families on hygiene practices, including handwashing, sanitation and safe handling of food and water.
