In celebration of World Environment Day 2026, HEADS and HUJRA-VSO, with the generous support of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and collaboration of Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Torkhow/Mulkhow and Mastuj organized a comprehensive environmental awareness and cleanliness campaign during the Shandur Festival.

The initiative combined community awareness with practical action, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship, responsible waste management, and the protection of Shandur’s unique natural ecosystem. Volunteers and community members actively participated in collecting plastic bags, bottles, and other waste materials from the festival grounds and ensured their proper disposal at designated waste collection sites.

Through awareness sessions and live demonstrations, visitors were encouraged to adopt environmentally responsible practices and contribute to preserving the beauty of Shandur for future generations.
