On Pakistan’s Independence Day, 14th August 2026, a Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF)-supported activity was organized at Government High School No. 1, District Tank, with the support of the school administration.

The activity brought together students, school representatives, community members, and district-level stakeholders to honor the spirit of Independence Day and promote unity, patriotism, participation, and social cohesion.

The event was attended by Lt. Colonel Sher Ali, Major Abdullah, Education Officer Sher Muhammad Wazir, along with school representatives and participants.

The celebrations also included participation in the official flag-hoisting ceremony at DC Compound and the Independence Day football match at Degree College.
