As part of the Ba-Ikhtiyar Project, implemented by HEADS in collaboration with IRM, with support from Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and PTCL, 50 women from Upper Chitral who successfully completed professional training in Stitching & Tailoring and Fashion Designing participated in a three-day activity at GTVC Booni.

The activity focused on helping participants build on their vocational skills through digital learning, technology awareness, and practical exposure to digital marketing.

Building Digital Skills

Through sessions facilitated by U Bank, PTCL, and IRM, participants received practical learning on Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Skills for Entrepreneurs. The sessions introduced them to ways of using digital platforms to promote their products, connect with customers, and explore new market opportunities.

Phones, SIMs and a Year of Free Internet

Every participant received a mobile phone, Ufone SIM, and a one-year free internet data package, providing them with access to technology to stay connected, continue learning, and explore digital opportunities.

Recognizing Their Achievement

The three-day activity concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, attended by Mrs. Farhana Hayat, District Finance Officer, Upper Chitral, as the Chief Guest, who formally distributed certificates and mobile phones to the successful trainees.

HEADS is grateful to PPAF and PTCL for making this initiative possible through their support, and to IRM for working alongside HEADS in delivering the training and supporting the participants throughout the activity.
