HEADS and KSA Support Flood-Affected Communities in District Buner
Health Education and Development Society (HEADS), in collaboration with Khyber Society of America (KSA), successfully completed the Flood Response Livelihood Enhancement, Economic Recovery, and Market Support Initiative in District Buner, aimed at restoring livelihoods and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable flood-affected communities.
The initiative included the distribution of 100 fruit and vegetable carts with digital weighing scales and initial stock, 10 dairy shop packages, and 58 solar energy systems to support income generation and improve household living conditions. Additionally, a solar-powered water filtration plant was completed and inaugurated in Village Balo Khan, improving community access to safe drinking water.
A distribution ceremony was held on 20 May 2026 in Daggar, Buner, attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Buner and other government officials, who appreciated the collaborative humanitarian efforts of HEADS and KSA.
Through these interventions, the initiative contributed to livelihood restoration, economic recovery, and sustainable community resilience in District Buner.
