The project was designed to strengthen community trust and increase access to immunization services for zero-dose children in security-compromised and hard-to-reach areas of Pakistan.
Implemented by Health Education and Development Society (HEADS) with funding from Mannion Daniels Ltd. on behalf of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the initiative focuses on bridging critical immunization gaps in Tank District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project combines community engagement, capacity development, and targeted service delivery to reduce vaccine hesitancy and improve immunization outcomes. Project Objectives:

- Increase full immunization coverage from 27% to 50%.

Key Activities:
- Targeted Outreach: Identify and reach zero-dose children through localized immunization drives.
- Community Engagement: Build trust through awareness campaigns and engagement with community influencers.
- Capacity Building: Train field staff and frontline workers to implement immunization strategies in challenging environments.
- Data-Driven Monitoring: Collect and use community-level data to track immunization progress and inform interventions.
- Partnership and Coordination: Collaborate with local health authorities (EPI), community stakeholders, and humanitarian networks to support sustainable impact.
