The Establishment of GYNE Section / General OPD project, funded by Cherat Cement Company Limited and implemented by Health Education and Development Society (HEADS), aims to improve access to quality, free healthcare services for the communities of Cherat, with a special focus on women and children. Through the provision of dedicated gynecological services and a General Outpatient Department (OPD), the project promotes reproductive health, provides quality medical care, supports the prevention and management of gynecological conditions, and empowers women to make informed decisions about their health.

The project strengthens healthcare delivery by deploying qualified clinical staff, enhancing staff capacity through training, providing essential medicines, laboratory and ultrasound services, and ensuring continuous monitoring to deliver accessible, inclusive, and high-quality healthcare to underserved communities.

Project Achievements (Past 12 Months)

  • 60,576 patients received free medical treatment.
  • 1,767 ultrasound services provided.
  • 2,770 laboratory tests conducted.
  • 7,409 adult male patients treated.
  • 13,183 adult female patients treated.
  • 31,945 children benefited (14,991 boys and 16,954 girls).

In recognition of its positive impact and the growing healthcare needs of the community, the project has been extended from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026, ensuring the continued provision of free, quality healthcare services for the people of Cherat and surrounding areas.
